Hi, I’m Alexa.
I help elementary and high school students master their math and science curriculum.
I am a fourth-year Health Sciences student at McGill University. During the summer, I conduct research at the University of Toronto and at Sickkids Hospital focusing in cell and system biology. For the past four years, I have been saving for graduate school by providing virtual math and science tutoring services to elementary and high school students across Canada.
About Me
Together, we will start with what you already know and build slowly from there. I have been told by clients that my tutoring style is friendly, relatable, practical and effective. Shame doesn't help anyone learn, so I work hard to put students at ease.
Subjects I tutor in are elementary math and science (grade 6-8), all grades of high school math (functions and calculus), grade 9 & 10 science (ecology, chemistry, electricity, optics, biology, climate change) and grade 11 & grade 12 chemistry and biology.
I suggest we meet virtually for one hour each week to keep up with your curriculum.
My hourly rate is $75, to be e-transferred to me after each session.

What Clients are Saying
"Working with Alexa has been an absolute game-changer for my learning. Just when I thought I could not get through math, she came along and kept me motivated and gave me the confidence I needed to understand the concepts and do better on tests. Alexa teaches me in a way that I can understand and will explain complex concepts with patience. I would highly recommend Alexa to anyone looking for tutoring. She truly made a difference in my learning. "
Bianca, Grade 10 Math and Science
"I highly recommend Alexa as a tutor. She had a gift of adapting to my learning styles and is extremely knowledgeable. Alexa always answered my questions with great detail and she wasn’t afraid of going back on previous units to ensure the content was understood. Alexa prepared me with confidence for my tests and assignments and ultimately helped me excel and achieve the grades I needed to get accepted into Queens University."
